No, it's not an ego issue, haha. I'm going to write down a story that has made me especially excited. I read it in this Article of a great blog that is TRAVEL BLOG: "at 2009 there will be a total solar eclipse that will take place in China and in the South Pacific"

Those who know me know that from a very young age I have loved any topic related to space, astronomy, the esoteric. When I was little (and not so small) I kept all the news about planets, space travel or esoteric curiosities that appeared in the press ... and I always LOVED THE ECLIPSES. Already when I was little I lived one (I think total) in Segovia. You already know that the lots can be partial (where the moon partially interposes between the sun and the earth), annular (the moon stands between the sun and the earth but it is too far away and produces an anti-light) and totals (The moon is close enough and there is a total gloom), which are an impressive spectacle. The pity is that here in Spain, at least I remember, there has been none especially beautiful lately.

But what is special about this eclipse? Well, it has several peculiarities:

1. What is it MY 31 BIRTHDAY! and it could be cool to spend it in a country in the world (China, Mongolia ...), near some wonder, and see how the sky darkens like a cataclysm from one moment to another (FLICKR: Wiesl and Bee Cool Qatar)

2. That although there have been and will be several throughout a lifetime (August 1, 2008 in North America, Europe and Asia; July 11, 2010 in South America; November 13, 2012 in Australia and New Zealand ; March 20, 2015 in England, Norway and North Pole; etc ...), the July 22, 2009 is the longest eclipse of the 21st century, with almost 7 minutes.

3. That the problem that this type of eclipses has is that they occur every approximately 18 months, but they usually take place in Oceans, places of difficult visibility or are of short duration. This has it all and, for example, from Sanghai, Hangzhou or Wuhan All conditions are met to enjoy a great show. A total solar eclipse is one of the most spectacular celestial phenomena that we can from Planet Earth

One thing that amazes me is the following in the world of this type of spectacles. There are real organized tours chasing this kind of phenomena and I without knowing how this trip to Mongolia.

There is no image, no photo, no video that may resemble what it is like to see a show like this live and in the best conditions. Even so, we will always have the music (YOUTUBE: Gerin):

Enjoy it. Lemon Tree by Fool's Garden
